MemoRead Journal collects only the information required to operate the app.

Data We Collect

• Your email address (via Firebase Authentication) to create and authenticate your account
• User-generated content including reading notes, book reference notes, and optional metadata such as tags or categories

Camera Use

The camera is used exclusively to scan barcodes and capture text excerpts from books. Images are processed in real time, are not saved or uploaded, and no camera data is stored or used for any other purpose.

How We Use This Data

• To create and manage your account
• To store and synchronize your notes and metadata across your devices

Data Storage

All data is stored securely using Firebase Authentication and Firebase Firestore.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data
• We do not use your data for advertising
• We do not track you across apps or websites

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the app by navigating to:
Menu → Manage Account → Delete Account.
